“Look If you had One shot Or one opportunity To seize everything you ever wanted In one moment Would you capture Or just let it slip?”-Eminem

Have you ever woken up feeling high on endorphins and high on life? You know when you wake up feeling so alive and you want to paint the house, reorganize your closet, or finally figure out what to do with all the gift bags you have saved from previous gifts…(don’t lie, you know your hoard those) well, I say DO IT ALL! All you have to do is stay focused!

Now let’s get serious, have you ever had opportunities that you feel if you don’t take it you will hate yourself for the rest of your life? Or have you passed an opportunity already and are unsure if your life would be different. I wanna let y'all know that it is ok to say NO! say it with me...NNNNNNOOOOOO!

No doesn’t have to have a negative connotation. It simply means you have prior engagements and you can't be in two places at once. Committing to one thing at a time is perfectly acceptable.  We are human and deserve to live our lives as we wish. When we become a “yes dear" you are letting others dictate what you do with your time. Your time is just as valuable as everyone else's. Why should you give up a saturday morning to work extra hours?

Here are a few ways to politely decline..

  1. I won't be available, maybe next time!

  2. I have plans, let's set plans for next time!

  3. Im totally booked, let's plan for a future date!

You probably get the jist of's all about being positive. It's ok to be busy. It's also ok, if you really are interested in engaging yourself in an activity, to say yes however to a future date when you really are available.
