Hey, I’m Erin. Here’s a bit about me:
I’m a writer, poet, and teacher.
I believe in the beauty of bare skin and love to find sacredness in the little things.
I taught English at a high school in Southern California for eight years.
My favorite thing about teaching was helping students find their voices through writing.
Following my desire to cultivate my own voice, I’m currently pursuing an MFA in poetry and will be a weekly writer here at SMV (yay!).
I totally have a makeup bag in my purse that has crystals and stones in it instead of powder or mascara.
I recently married a man who can best be described as a lumberjack teddybear and who makes me feel beautiful every day (he also brings me coffee in bed...seriously. I got a good one!)
I’ve struggled with body acceptance/ body image for most of my life.
But I never talked about it.
That stops now.
I don’t have all the answers, but I know in my core that we are all beautiful and worthy, and I’m on a journey of learning how to embody that message as best I can.
I love lists (cuz, you know, Virgo).
