Jeanette Ow-Yeang @Jeanetteowyeang June 2016
"Self worth is vital to your happiness. If you don't feel good about you, it's hard to feel good about anything else." We often forget that the person we need to please first, is the person in the mirror. (Jeanette Ow-Yeang), @JeanetteOwYeang our SMV feature, teaches us the key to happiness begins with a happy self. Creating a happy self however doesn't always come easy. For 4 yrs Jeanette was in an abusive relationship which left her mentally & physically bruised. Fearing judgement from others she never shared her pain. Then the day came where she had had enough, she packed up her car & never looked back. "I remember driving off our driveway & thinking that finally I was the luckiest girl in the world." She gained her freedom, she had her peace, and now she could finally seek her happiness.
We can never receive the love we deserve until we learn to love ourselves - Jeanette Ow-Yeang
Noelle Benepe @NoelleBenepe May 2016
Noelle Benepe began building her strength over a decade ago, through taking risks, personal growth and financial hurdles she was able to establish herself in an industry, not only requiring physical strength, but a character to match.
After leaving her small town, Orcas Island, with a population of less than 5,000 and working as a banking supervisor, Noelle wanted more than the comfort her routine offered her -- more of a challenge, more opportunity to build & show her character to the world and ultimately more from herself.
Noelle packed up and moved to Los Angeles, eager and anticipating her awaiting success. Months after moving to the big city the tables turned and she was faced with a challenging reality. Noelle's desire to educate, empower and strengthen a person's core values rooted in self-love and self-worth became that much more present. It become her unwavering vision, to create a community for self love and acceptance. Her philosophy in fitness encompasses so much more then physical strength, but a mindset to back it up. It is easy to see why her WE ARE STRENGTH community is filled with devout members from various walks of life from around the world.
“I want my fitness programs to not only guide you but to ultimately teach you. There are so many reasons people avoid the fitness industry, I am here to change that. Fitness should be affordable, educational and most importantly, uplifting and supportive. I promise as I continue my journey as a fitness professional I will always give 100% effort to everything I offer. “Leaders breed leaders, not followers” anyone investing in my programs needs to understand we are working towards so much more then a strong body but learning to embrace and believe that we can do anything, I am as much your peer as I am your teacher. As I continue to succeed in my vision I will confidently know there are others out their recognizing their strength and potential and taking on joineries they never imagined.
Let Your Strength Push You Harder Then You Ever Thought Possible - Noelle Benepe

Miranda Oldroyd @MirandaOldroyd Jan 2016
Such an inspirational woman to many. What some of you may not know is her amazing life or death story! And how Crossfit and strength training saved her!
On Tuesday of this upcoming week marks the 3rd year anniversary of when Miranda broke her neck in a severe car accident. She had 2 of her vertebrae's fused and was told by the Drs that the only reason she Wasn't paralyzed or killed was because her body had so much muscle that could withstand such an impact.
In 2007 Miranda started Crossfit. There were no affiliates at the time where she lived so She did all of her first CrossFit workouts at a Gold's Gym.
We asked her "Why did you start Crossfit?" Miranda said " I started CrossFit as a challenge and to break the monotonous routine of what I had been doing for years. When I started no one really did it as a competitive thing, it was just a REALLY effective workout, and fun fitness program." Fast forward she will be at the Reebok Crossfit finals competing for this years 2015 FITTEST on EARTH!

Dru Presta @Dru_Presta7 November 2015
I've accepted that I am beautiful & that I am just like everyone & said fuck anyone who tells me different" - Dru Presta
And we say she's BETTER than everyone else!! Today's SMV feature, Dru Presta, (@dru_presta7) tells us to be fearless and free. Dru has proved countless people wrong in life & anyone who tells her she can't, is just fuel to show them that she is better than any false expectations they place upon her. We can't change people's opinions of us, but we can change how they affect us. And Dru's F*ck your judgement mentality, inspires us to focus on ourselves and not the thoughts of others. "Never be afraid to be strong, confident, & independent. It's your life, you get to choose how it plays out, don't let anybody try and take that away from you. I'd rather be me than anyone else" - Dru
