ngel Hall thank you for supporting our Kickstarter Campaign.

1. How have you struggled in the past to appreciate or love your body and how have you overcome that struggle?

I grew up with a mom who was obsessed with her weight, a skinny sister, and everyone I encountered comparing me to her. As a child I was told my nose was too big, my lips were too full, my skin was to dark, and I was the chubby sister. I went through phases from trying every diet available, binge eating, trying every exercise craze to starving myself. You name it I tried it.

Becoming a mother of three girls whipped me into shape REALLY fast as I knew I needed to be a better example to THEM. I’ve always told them they’re beautiful inside and out and I remind them constantly to love themselves just the way they are. By raising these beautiful princesses, I am reminded constantly to be the queen that they need to look up to.

2. What do you love most about your body?

I have come to a point in my life where I can safely say I love everything about my body and I have my son and my beautiful daughters to thank for that. Before, I literally hated everything about myself.

3. What message do you have for other women who struggle to appreciate and love their bodies?

If you can find one thing you love about yourself to start with, remind yourself EVERYDAY about that one thing you love about your body. Then believe it or not, you will find a second thing to love and then a third thing to love until you get to love and appreciate your entire self just the way you are. It’s not an overnight thing. It’s a journey.

4. Why do you support SMV?

I support SMV because it constantly reminds woman that we are the most beautiful beings ever created. No matter our scars, shades of color, size, or shape. We are our own beautiful lights journeying through time.

Thanks for the support, Angel! We love you! --- The SMV Team
