hristine Khasho thank you for supporting our Kickstarter Campaign.

1. How have you struggled in the past to appreciate or love your body and how have you overcome that struggle?

When I was a kid I was self-conscious about certain parts of my body from my long toes, to the hair on my body, the freckles on my face, or obsessing over how my upper arms were fatter than the rest of my body. It wasn't until I turned 30 that I felt a sense of self-confidence when I read a book about how we create blocks within ourselves that hinder us. That resonated with me tremendously, so I made the decision to break myself free from the mindset of self-hate and choose to love myself just the way I am.

2. What do you love most about your body?

I love that it’s mine to take care of. I also love my skin-tone, height, and most of all my butt. ;)

3. What message do you have for other women who struggle to appreciate and love their bodies?

I encourage you to look in the mirror often and start changing your mindset. it takes one thought repeatedly to overcome all obstacles. Look in the mirror and name something you love rather than something you hate about yourself. Eventually your confidence will start to emanate through your soul outward and the world will get to see you – the real, beautiful, true you!

4. Why do you support SMV?

I remember the day I came across an SMV picture on Instagram. It was of a curvaceous woman with freckles that was half naked and she looked so happy and proud. This led me to explore the SMV page in its entirety and I fell in love! I thought to myself, "Finally, a platform that embraces real women of all kinds, not just the Insta model type (you totally know what I'm talking about)! A platform that allows women to feel loved and accepted by themselves and can translate that feeling to the entire outside world of women who struggle with their image." Sigh...

Thanks for your support, Christine! We love you! --- The SMV Team
