l John thank you for supporting our Kickstarter Campaign.

1. How have you struggled in the past to appreciate or love your body and how have you overcome that struggle?

The only time I have struggled before was when I was in a relationship with a girl who always criticized my body. She used to point out the multiples way I didn't fit in her standard of "handsome" and how I should change.

My initial solution was to ignore her and jokingly point out how she was brainwashed by the fashion industry and that her standard of beauty was wrong. The long-term solution was to end the relationship.

2. What do you love most about your body?

My body is healthy and low maintenance. I rarely get sick. Also, thanks to my body I have been able to experience wonderful things all these years.

3. What message do you have for other women who struggle to appreciate and love their bodies?

Every day, alone in your room or in the bathroom, spend a couple of minutes looking at your body in a full-body mirror, and think of 1 to 3 things about it that you love.

Also, spend more time with friends that don't care that much about standards of beauty. Find people who are fun to be with, people that accept you for who you are. They can be friends, family, or your love partner. Don't stay with people that undervalue who you are.

4. Why do you support SMV?

I try to support projects that help women be happier. When I saw SMV on Kickstarted I thought it was a nice project and [donating was] an easy way for me to contribute to it.

Thanks for your support, El John! We love you! --- The SMV Team
